Sponsored build for Great North Air Ambulance at Castle Bolton, Leyburn, North Yorkshire - 4-5 April 2009

Master waller and Guild member Richard Laidler ran a sponsored build at Castle Bolton, with the support of YDSWG and the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority Volunteers Service to raise money for the Teeside Branch of the Great North Air Ambulance, who came to his rescue when he was seriously injured in Autumn 2008.

The weekend was a great success, with many YDSWG and YDNPA members coming along to lend a hand, raising over £850 for the charity!

A total of 25 metres of dilapidated wall along the bridleway from the castle was dismantled and re-erected for posterity.
